a lil’ about myself

Originally from a quiet town in Massachusetts, I took on NYC to obtain my BFA in 2009 from SVA. For the last ten plus year’s I’ve been two-steppin’ around Texas and living in Austin, while working in design and marketing.

I’ve been painting primarily with oils since I was a teenager. My paintings are created to pique interest and curiosity in the female form. As ever-changing beings, the idea of capturing a portrait seems in vain. My work is not about realistic portraits but of the person captured through color and emotion. The female figure is of the most interest to me. Ideas of her growth in sexuality and loss of innocence are often underlying subjects.

In 2017 I jumped into the pool of Austin’s graphic design world. My focus is on being creative in branding and illustrations while giving my two cents on marketing for local companies. Expanding my tools from the canvas onto the computer has both been an illuminating experience with gratifying achievements. I’ve enjoyed intertwining the two and finding a balance between raw lines and clean illustrations.

Outside of creating artwork, you can find me exploring new swim spots, playing fetch with my pup, Gambit, and enjoying good food with good friends.
