Blue Owl Brewing is a sour brewery located in the heart of East Austin, TX. Founded in 2015, they create approachable yet unique beers and experiences, from packaging to on-site. Each beer is brewed and designed to invoke a feeling and story that lends to the style and seasonal release of that beer.

I was excited for the opportunity to grow, expand, and even revamp Blue Owl’s brand. Working at first on their seasonal sours and then creating a new line of non-sour beers and hard seltzers, I worked alongside owners Jeff & Suzy to produce can designs, glassware, poster art, marketing assets, and more while also showcasing their story & brand on marketing channels for each individual beer.
Non-Sour Program
Bob’s Non-Sour Cans
Blue Owl Brewing started brewing their first non-sours in 2021. This new brand kicked off with a non-sour pilsner and various hazy IPA’s. The new series was quickly defined as “Bob’s Fine Beers.” Bob is an acronym for Blue Owl Brewing. On the forefront, the pilsner can follows traditional lager design concepts with a retro feel while still giving notice to Blue Owl’s original branding using line and pattern.
HARD SELTZER PROGRAM
Blue Owl Brewing began brewing their first Hard Seltzers in 2021. With the new trend of seltzers hitting the market, the look needed to be fun, clean, while also still giving note to Blue Owls original branding. The can designs push further into Blue Owl’s retro look while maintaining a bright color palette.
